Hillary Rodham Clinton already has taken the advice of Vice-President Biden. There was no need to prompt her to defend, protect and run on the record and accomplishments of the Democratic Party under the leadership of President Obama.
If Bernie Sanders has any hope of attracting and eventually garnering the votes of Biden supporters, he would be well served to follow the lead of Hillary and the advice of Vice-President Biden.
Bernie Sanders on the campaign trail and in campaign rally speeches, has to this point not been inclined to defend, protect and run on the record and accomplishments of the Democratic Party under the leadership of President Obama.
No democratic presidential candidate will receive the support of rank and file democrats (politicians and voters), if that candidate is perceived to be running for president advocating liberal and progressive ideology--yet fail to say anything to defend, protect or acknowledge the positive liberal and progressive record of the Democratic Party, along with the accomplishments of the Democratic Party under the leadership of President Obama.
Defending, protecting and running on the record and accomplishments of the Democratic Party, is what candidates running for the democratic presidential nomination, as well as the eventual leader and head of the "2016 National Democratic Party Ticket" must do.
Vice-President Biden during his announcement that he would not run for president, said the following~ Biden Won't Run
“I believe that President Obama has led this nation from crisis to recovery, and we're now on the cusp of resurgence. I'm proud to have played a part in that. This party, our nation, will be making a tragic mistake if we walk away or attempt to undo the Obama legacy. The American people have worked too hard, and we have come too far for that. Democrats should not only defend this record and protect this record. They should run on the record.”—Vice-President of the United States, Joe BidenDuring the democratic presidential debate, Bernie Sanders did say some positive things about President Obama. However if Bernie's quest for the Democratic Party nomination is going to be realized he will need a lot more statements like the following statements (proclaimed with passion and conviction) by Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Quotes From: Hillary Clinton Speech at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention~
“I know it’s very inconvenient for our republican friends, but the facts do speak for themselves. Economic growth is stronger under democratic presidents. Unemployment is lower. The Stock Market rises faster. Businesses do better—and deficits are smaller…One of my favorite inconvenient facts, under republican’s recessions happen four times as frequently as under democrats.”—Hillary Rodham Clinton
"The republicans went back to ‘Trickle Down Economics’…they took their eyes off the financial markets, took their eyes off the mortgage markets—and President Obama inherited an even bigger mess…I remember when he called me right after the election, asked me to come see him in Chicago, I didn’t know why at the time, turned out he wanted to ask me to be Secretary of State, but when I got there what he wanted to talk about was how dangerous the economic situation was. He said it is so much worse than what they told us. He was worried about a Great Depression!, not just a Great Recession…He had to really work hard. Under his leadership and thanks to the sacrifice of so many Americans, we pulled back from the brink of depression…Now the only way the republicans can win, is if they count on collective amnesia from the American people. President Obama deserves a lot more credit than what he gets for helping us avoid an economic catastrophe.”—Hillary Rodham ClintonQuotes From: Hillary Rodham Clinton Speech at the Democratic National Committee Summer Meeting~
“In America if you work hard and do your part, you should be able to get ahead and stay ahead. That is the basic bargain that made this county great…When my husband put people first and made that bargain mean something again in the 1990’s, we had 23 million new jobs, a balanced budget and for the first time in decades we all grew together, not just those at the top, but everyone!…When President Obama did it, we pulled back from the brink of depression, saved the auto industry, curbed Wall Street abuses—and provided healthcare to 16 million people. You know the evidence is pretty clear the basic bargain works”—Hillary Rodham Clinton
“We believe that everyone deserves access to quality affordable healthcare—and we’re the ones standing up and saying that the Affordable Care Act is here to stay! We have come to far and fought to hard too let anyone destroy that now”—Hillary Rodham Clinton
“We democrats believe in an America where no matter who you are or where you come from; you should have an equal shot at success. That’s the America we love, that’s the America we are fighting for—and fundamentally, that’s what’s at stake in this election. Whether our county keeps moving towards opportunity and prosperity for all, or whether republicans get another chance to rip away the progress we’ve worked so hard to achieve. Now we’ve come a long way these past 6 ½ years, but let’s not forget what we inherited from the republicans, the worst economic crisis since the ‘Great Depression’. Thanks to the hard work and sacrifice of the American people and the leadership of President Obama, we’re standing again”—Hillary Rodham Clinton
“I’m not taking a single primary voter or caucus gore for granted. I’m building an organization in all 50 states and territories. With hundreds of thousands of volunteers, who will help democrats win races up and down the ticket, not just the presidential campaign”—Hillary Rodham Clinton
